Today was my first full day in Uganda and I am really not getting the culture shock like I thought I would. There are certain things that Im going to have to get used to such as carrying my flashlight at night, putting bug spray on at 5, and not depending on running water/electricity because they go out frequently but in a way none of that seems to matter. The only thing Im having a hard time getting used to is not being able to have clean water to drink whenever I want it... Its something I miss very much!!!
But my day was super eventful.....I woke up bright and early and saw my first rain.. all it did was make it nice and muggy.... we ordered food (which was interesting) walked to get our money changed over (which their bills are way better than ours), we went to the zoo and to the botanical gardens, ate pizza on lake victoria, and moved to a different city. But its one here so ill be getting off here.
Its amazing here. Wish you guys could see it.
PS matatus are the buses that you take around (like taxis) and they cannot drive
